Other news, I've just completed my first corset making course. It was a class of one and I learned a lot from my 'guinea pig'. Thank you so much Sandrine for allowing me to teach you and for being a star pupil.

I will soon be formally offering a corset making course. It will be a three day course and will include the cutting and preparing of a commercial pattern, the making and fitting of a toile (muslin for you in the USA), choosing fabrics, boning and finishing materials and the techniques required to make an underbust or overbust corset. At the end of three days you should have finished your corset, if it is not completely finished there will only be a small amount of hand finishing required which you can do when you return home. Initially I will be offereing the course for a maximum of two students unless you can bring your own sewing machines in which case it will be a maximum of four students. If you finish in plenty of time there will be the opportunity to have your finished creation photographed on location here in the heart of rural France. I still have to do some number crunching to work out costs of airport/train station transfers, accommodation costs etc when I've done I'll build a website with all the details and link from here for interested parties.

All corsets are made with spiral steel and sprung steel boning as standard on a base of cotton coutil (unless specified otherwise).
