My entry for
 ' irates Life' competitionThe inspiration was pirate treasure - I had this stunning piece of red and gold sari silk and some shiny, shiny, gold bias binding. This corset has eight spiral wires, 4 sprung steel bones and a steel busk centre front - it currently laces through gold coloured two part grommets with a black lace - I tried to get some gold cord at the haberdashery today but they had very little of anything I wanted in stock  The corset is made with cotton coutil and faced with the sari fabric.I finished the corset today and wanted to get photo's on a model but my husband started to feel unwell before I managed to get my model into the corset so we had to come home. Unfortunately this means that the corset is modelled by Gladys - my no2 Stockman dummy and not by a real person with squidgy bits It was very difficult to get good pictures with indoor lighting and flash was inpossible. If I can get to my model tomorrow I may try and upload some better photo's. Website [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
