Description

So yeah, my brother, sister-in-law and neices came to stay for a few days and we played dress up...

From left to right
Robyn, wearing a Roman tunica and stola in linen,
Me wearing a linen kirtle, fourteen panels of linen all entirely hand sewn, it doesn't fit as well as it should - I've lost weight since I made it and it's very old and well worn now.
Jenni, wearing the 1740-50 Mantua - it's so nice to see it on a person not a dummy.
Christine, wearing my 1888 ensemble. She's a bit skinnier than me so I had to pin the plastron at the neck so it didn't gape. Luckily I made the skirt so it could be worn at several waist sizes (I was hoping I could lose some more weight)

None of us has the proper shoes or headwear - like I said we were playing dress up!
