Duchess satin and sparkles

Here is the second corseted wedding dress I have made.

The bride wanted a dress with a front lacing corset. The challenge here was to make the corset close perfectly and fit beautifully.

The corset is silk duchess satin and it was laced with a double satin ribbon. The boning is a mix of spiral and sprung steels. The skirt has a sheer overlay with scattered sparkles, the fabric for the skirt was supplied by the bride.

As with my other wedding dress the photographs were taken at the wedding and at the reception. I have selected the best - my only regret is that I didn't manage to get a photograph of the rear of the corset without the veil.
